Congratulations to our Hardware Hank “Nuts & Bolts” Athletes of the Week: Alex Pohlen, freshman, Minneota football and Lara Schultz, junior, Prior Lake volleyball.

School: Minneota

Information: This freshman has been firing on all cylinders. Alex has led Minneota to a perfect season through six games and has racked up 769 passing yards and 13 touchdowns on 50-of-82 passes. Last week, in a 59-0 rout of TMB, Pohlen went 12-of-18 for 174 yards and 4 TD.

Position: OH

Sport: Volleyball

Year: Junior

School: Prior Lake

Information: Prior Lake has never been to the state volleyball tournament, but now find themselves on top of the 3A rankings thanks in large part to Schultz. The junior leads the team with 271 kills and had 75 last week during a 5-0 stretch as they won the Lakeville North Bachman Invitational.
