Hockey Day Minnesota just one week away

In just one week, the eyes of the Minnesota hockey world will be on Grand Rapids as the community hosts Hockey Day Minnesota, a day-long celebration of the game of hockey, on Jan. 19.
The rink is under construction on Pokegama Lake near the Pokegama Golf Course and three high school games will be played on the rink and broadcast statewide by Fox Sports North. At 10 a.m., in boys hockey action, Eagan will take the ice against Hibbing, then approximately around 1 p.m., defending state champion Benilde-St. Margaret’s will face off against Grand Rapids. Around 4 p.m., the Grand Rapids-Greenway Lightning will play Hibbing in girls hockey action.
So how does a person attend this event?
According to the Grand Rapids Hockey Day Minnesota website, tickets may be purchased online for pickup the day of the event. Adults tickets are $15 and student tickets are $10 for online purchase via PayPal. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the event at the gate, $20 for adults and $15 for students...
