Faribault's Bethelehem Academy football earns first trip to state in school history

A historic night for Bethlehem Academy coalesced in one beautiful moment.
The Cardinals followed the lead of senior safety Tim Angell, ran across the field to the bleachers and began belting their fight song — louder, prouder and more heartfelt than any other time this season — as the Cardinal faithful desperately reached over the chain-link fence, fingers outstretched as they tried to touch something tangible to prove this wasn’t a dream.
It wasn’t. The Cardinals (9-2) had just earned their first berth in the state tournament in school history.
