Tonka blanks Roseville for back-to-back Class 2A state titles

Roseville hadn't lost a girls hockey game in 2012, a span of 16 games.
In that time, the Raiders outscored the opposition 75-11 and had seven shutouts.
Buoyed by that run, and cognizant of their success in championship games, the Raiders had reason to be optimistic as they prepared to play Minnetonka for the Class 2A state championship Saturday night.

"It was one of those runs that gave you confidence, but you weren't cocky about it," Roseville senior all-state defender Lee Stecklein said.
It was a run that came to a screeching halt.
