One defending champion fell on Wednesday, but the defending titlists in AA came through with a big second period to keep the dream alive for a repeat.
Edina trailed 2-1 into the first intermission after Michael Sit's goal was answered by the Bengal's. Michael Brodzinski scored first, less than two minutes after Sit, then Jonny Brodzinski put Blaine on top shortly before the end of the period.
The middle frame belonged to the Hornets. Jake Sampson tied the game two minutes into the second period, banging home a rebound past Bengals goalie Nick Malvin.
Two minutes later, Andy Jordahl put the Hornets up for good on Lou Nanne's second assist of the game.
