Finalists were announced Wednesday for Minnesota's first Mr. Baseball and Ms. Softball, honoring the top high school senior in each sport.
These nominees were chosen by college baseball and softball coaches statewide, along with professional scouts.

A banquet will be held June 20 at Target Field, where each winner will be announced.

The awards are sponsored by the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Minute Men, a nonprofit group that was founded in 1954 and has been involved in similar honors for other sports in the state.

The Mr. Baseball finalists are: Chris Anderson, Centennial; Garrett Anderson, Blue Earth; Kyle Crocker, Brainerd; Matt Halloran, Eden Prairie; Colin Keefe, Woodbury; John Skrbec, Grand Rapids; and Tom Windle, Osseo.

The Ms. Softball finalists are: Sara DuPaul, Spring Lake Park; Kristen Fah, Becker; Samantha Holien, Forest Lake; Sara Moulton, Eagan; Megan Mullen, Hermantown; Rebekah Roth, Mounds View; and Jordan Schaffer, Hastings.
