Class 4A: Hopkins 76, St. Cloud Tech 56

Hopkins came full circle on Saturday night, winning the Class 4A boys' basketball state championship on the same Target Center court where the Royals rejuvenated their season back in January.
Last season's team, led by four Division I basketball recruits among the five starters, never lost -- leaving the current team to face giant expectations while drawing the best effort from other teams.
A 7-0 mark to start the season showed promise. Then Hopkins lost two consecutive games for the first time in at least five seasons. And the next time out, the Royals trailed Champlin Park in the Gatorade Timberwolves Shootout at Target Center before rallying for a victory.
From there, the roll never stopped. A 23-game winning streak culminated
in a 76-56 victory against St. Cloud Tech on Saturday. Hopkins has now
won five of the past nine Class 4A titles...
