FIVE STORY LINES
1 APPLE VALLEY
Twenty-seven consecutive state team tournament appearances, 17 titles. Ranked No. 2 nationally by Amateur Wrestling News. Enough said.
2 BIG TOURNAMENTS IN ROCHESTER
Once again, some of the best talent around will be showcased a little over an hour south of the metro. Next month, the national wrestling duals known as
the Clash resumes for an eighth year. Of the 32 teams entered, 10 are
ranked nationally. The 23rd annual Minnesota Christmas Tournament
begins Dec. 17. This year, 35 teams from three states are in the event,
including the top three Class 3A-ranked teams (Apple Valley, Hastings
and St. Michael-Albertville) from Minnesota.
