A touch of tournament magic

Three former Red Wing girls' hockey players who never had a chance to play in the state tournament reminded the current squad Wednesday that there is a way to honor both their rare on-ice opportunity and a stricken teammate at the same time. With the Wingers trailing 2-1 after two periods of their Class 1A quarterfinal against Fergus Falls, former players Liz Bauer, Ashley Frederick and Jenny Olson entered a subdued locker room.
