The Result: Jordan 3, Marshall 1
The Story Line: After winning the title in 2006, Jordan had to settle for a consolation prize in 2007. Literally. The Jaguars lost their opening game of last year's tournament falling in five games to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton. Meanwhile, Marshall won the championship in five games and came into tonight's game ranked No. 1 in the state. After splitting the first two games Jordan jumped on the backs of Brittany Chambers and Leah Dietel. The two seniors had won a title as sophomores and there was no doubt they wanted another one. Games three and four were virtual routs by the Jaguars, and both Chambers and Dietel were buried by teammates in a dogpile after the final point was scored, fittingly enough, on a kill by Chambers, assisted by Dietel.
