The Story Line
Nate Wolters, a junior at St. Cloud Tech, scored his 1,000th career point as the Tigers defeated Robbinsdale Cooper 84-71 in the Class 4A third-place game. The Hawks made things interesting in the second half when they pulled within 47-43 after Rodney Williams, Jr. dunked the ball over the Tech defense. But the Tigers put together a seven-point run after that and never looked back. Nate Wolters led all scorers with 22 points. Alex Hanks added another 20 points for St. Cloud Tech and also had a team-high 10 rebounds for the Tigers. Rodney Williams, Jr. scored 21 points for Robbinsdale Cooper. He and Joe Bright each had eight rebounds for the Hawks.
