The Story Line

No. 4-seeded St. Cloud Tech advanced to the semifinals with a convincing 79-68 defeat of unranked Cambridge-Isanti. Tech extended its 13-point halftime lead to as much as 25 points in the second half. The Tigers owned a huge 40-to-21 advantage in total rebounds, 25 of which came on the defensive end of the court. Tech also led 16-to-2 in second-chance points. Junior guard Nate Wolters, with 21 points, led St. Cloud Tech and was one of three Tigers in double figures. Senior Chadd Mathson had a game-high 23 points for Cambridge-Isanti.
