Unbeaten Eden Prairie vs. Stillwater. I tightly contested match-up to begin with as far as shots and goals were concerned. Eden Prairie Had ten shots to Stillwater’s eight. Eden Prairie led the scoring at 3:06 of the first when Andrea Peterson found the mesh. Stillwater would add to the drama toward the end that period by tying the score. Chelsey Jones scored at 12:01. Wouldn’t last however, Andrea Green would give EP the lead with 1:05 left for a 2-1 lead after one.
Andrea Green would get her 2nd goal in the second and that’s how the period would end. In the third with the score now 4 to 1 in favor of Eden Prairie.
A Stillwater goal would be reviewed and allowed, but then reviewed again, and disallowed. The score would have been 4-2 but with the momentum in Stillwater’s favor. Eden Prairie would seize that disallowed goal and turn in into one of their own just 7 seconds later. It was deflating for Stillwater. After that it was all EP,
Final score 6 – 1. Shots goal, Eden Prairie with 34, Stillwater 21. Meaghan Pezon also had two goals for Eden Prairie. They take on the winner of Moorhead vs. Cloquet-Esko-Carlton.
