Congratulations to our Hardware Hank “Nuts & Bolts” Athletes of the Week: Sara Ellerbusch, junior, Faribault dance and Nick Larson, senior, Hill-Murray boys’ hockey. They were nominated by Jena Ellerbusch and Pete Rettig.
Jena writes: Sara has been on the State Champion Faribault Emeralds Dance Team since she was in 8th grade. She has been a choreographer the last two years and works very hard each and every time she dances. She gives 110% at each performance and competition, and even if she is exhausted at the end of dance, she still smiles and acts as if she could do the dance again 10 more times!
Pete writes: Nick scored a hat trick as Hill-Murray defeated the defending Class 1A State Champions, St. Thomas Academy, 4-1 in a Classic Suburban game. He scored a power-play goal and an empty-netter in the victory. He has shown all season why the Gophers recruited him and has led the team to a 10-1-1 record and a top ten ranking all season.
