Eden Prairie kept the upper hand against Eastview in boys' basketball on Thursday.
The Eagles were off to a fast start as they soared past the Lightning, scoring 18 points in the first few minutes, and allowing Eastview to only get a hold of a three-point basket.
Eastview tried hard to stay in the game as they handed the ball to Grant Moore, the Lightning’s top scorer in the first half with 11 points. But with Eden Prairie’s Ryan Wittman with 17 and Sam Eicher with 14 points, the halftime score was at an upsetting 48-29.
Despite Eastview’s efforts, even in the last few minutes with a deficit of about 25 points, the Lightning were not able to pull through. Eden Praire wins 75-48.
